Sorry AR , about as far away from a ' new age ' guy as you can get . I'm kind of an odd mix ( <---- opening rob ). A classical liberal reactionary I guess . I am empathetic , true . I haven't wept over the GD since 8/95 , however .
But I urge you to express yourself as you wish . Make those boys squirm , or roll there eyes !

Well, then, I have a lovely song that you can listen to in order to learn how, indeed, to become a sensitive new age guy. I'm sure Deb will appreciate it, too. It really should be dedicated to all the guys of the forum:

Thanks for making me laugh...

That was funny . You expect me to dress like Richard Simmons ? All I have is mostly black . I have never seen him in that . Is he still alive ?
And I do care about the Big O for Ms. M. ;)

I think he's alive, but put on a lot of weigh. Really. I saw him on TV a while back. Don't quote me, though.

Well funny! How about this - I've posted it for no other reason than the guy in it is my buddy Steve Ingham, former welder, teacher and now actor...and he's had a speaking part on Coronation Street!
Oh, and it suits my mood at the moment (although I'm not on absinthe...yet)

Ahh yes , the green fairy . The Brazilians are making proper absinthe again ( it is the amount & type of wormwood ). I just fished it out of my cupboard , R'yed ( you owe me 38 seconds ) . The brand I have is ,Absinto Camargo , coming in @ 54 proof . Make sure you have your spoon and sugar cubes . And btw , the green fairy is not a fairy tale .

edit - my uncle had to stay over one night years ago , cause he dismissed the fairy . Gotta respect the fairy .

For nearly 10 years I've had a bottle of Rodnik's Absinthe (Spanish) 70% alcohol, but it's unopened. I reckon that much alcohol would make you see green faries, never mind the wormwood!

Yeah , that buck forty proof would be enough . I had an absinthe kick in the early naughts , and searched for the 'real ' absinthe . Hopefully the Spanish one you have is it . They still sell @ auction pre - 1914 French absinthe for ridiculous prices . Make sure you do the whole prep correctly , and use lots of water . It does have a wonderful narcotic effect , along with a mighty alcohol buzz . Just think of Provance , and let la fee verte take you away .

Thanks Rob. I've just watched that and it's confirmed my decision to stand MY ground against that idiot (sic) nu-labour quango the GTC, who've destroyed my life for the last 18 months. And if I ever meet those 3 twats on the "disciplinary committee" who put me out of a job, I'll make Raoul Moat look like the fucking teletubbies.
OK, death threats over, have a nice day y'all, and don't forget to wave the Tricouleur tomorrow

You'd so lightly discard the Mighty Petty would you, you young upstart?

I give you, Micah's song:

Mighty Petty ? Does that have something to do with NASCAR ? Is it a British cartoon or something ?

I prefer this one . ( Can someone please clean this up for 8 - 9 ? )

"Thanks for sharing" LOL
My hubby can't check too many of those SNAG boxes, either ... no crystal gazing or hyphenated names, over here. And he *hates* Shirley MacLaine (as does any right-thinking person).

Yeah, mine either. Thank goodness :-) I actually had a chance to talk with Shirley MacLaine once. She was very nice, and the funny thing is, I asked her about her past life, and she actually answered seriously. Apparently she lived in a cave in the Himalayas. Hey, that's what she told me ......

Well, I wasn't really asking her seriously. I'm afraid it was a bit of a Prankster moment on my part. I was curious what she'd say, and she bit. Either that, or she was humoring the silly person asking her a dumb question. She elaborated at length, though.

And that she knows specifically the details of her own. That's what was so funny. All the detail. Good, um, memory.

You mean salted rancid yak butter tea? I've had it, but prefer to dump it when no one is looking. I must not have been a monk in a Himalayan cave in a recent past life.
